    The Tuilière and Sanadoire Rocks: Remains of two volcanoes eroded by glaciers.
    The Tuilière presents prismatic columns. It corresponds to the old eruptive chimney of the volcano. Its stones were used to cover the roofs of houses (hence its name Tuilière).
    The Sanadoire, phonolite, culminates at 1290 m of altitude.

    Numerous discovery trails from the house: on site PR, GR30. Maps IGN and topo-guides of the area are made available to the lodging.

    The river: "La Fonsalade": To refresh your feet after a walk.

    Guéry ski area: 3 km from the house: 27 km of cross-country trails, 20 km of snowshoeing trails, tobogganing, equipment rental, pulka.
    Throughout the winter, snowshoe outings are scheduled, baptisms in sled dogs, cross-country skiing lessons (collective and private), Scandinavian nights ... In total, thirty different activities will be proposed in a calendar of nearly 250 dates of entertainment.
    Possibility to eat on site at the refuge (fireplace).

    Lake Guéry: The highest lake in Auvergne, completely frozen in winter, it is fishing on the ice the first weekend of March.

    In summer, departure of many marked hiking trails and discovery trails on fauna, flora, volcanism. GR30, PR.
    Orienteering, walking and mountain biking, GPS activities.
    It is the ideal place to benefit from a magic point of view on the Massif of Sancy, the valley of the Dordogne, the Chaîne des Puys and ... on the lodgings.

    Ski area Mont-Dore / Super-Besse: 35 minutes from the cottage to access the bottom slopes of Mont-Dore. Ski connection to Super-Besse. 75 km of slopes for all levels, ESF course, cable car ...

    Massif du Sancy: GR4, GR30, many hiking trails, waterfalls, mountain biking.

    Mont-Dore, La Bourboule: Thermal resorts 20 minutes from the gîte. Funicular, cable car, shops, summer activities. Fenestre Park, amusement park for children.

    Orcival and Notre-Dame-d'Orcival: dedicated to the Virgin and a place of pilgrimage since the 11th century, the basilica is one of the five jewels of Auvergne's Romanesque art.

    The Chèvre du Mont-Dore: at Murat le Quaire, Discovery of the farm, cheese making and tasting.http: //

    Scénomusée de la Toinette: A peasant girl, La Toinette, recounts the rural life of yesterday, while Julien, a city dweller today, returns to live in the country.


    Volcano Lemptégy: Visit the interior of a volcano through a 1h30 drive. Very interesting !

    Château de Cordès: 15th century castle perched at 900m altitude. Visits throughout the year of the interior and gardens designed by Le Nôtre.

    The Puy de Dôme: 1465m to climb on foot by the path of muleteers wrapping around the puy, or by bike before 9am. Information: +33 (0)

     Château de Murol: Free visits, guided or animated by the troupe of actors "The Paladins of Sancy".

    The Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Nature Park is a natural park of 393000 hectares, spread on 4 volvanic mount areas and a granitic hill. Its covers 153 towns and villages. Unique landscapes, typical from the Auvergne region, can be admired there. 

    You will discover the Auvergne volcanoes, the lakes, the castles, romanesque churches, museums, without forgetting Vulcania , the volcanoes european center.

    During the winter, you will discover Sancy under the snow with its ski resorts (the Mont dore , Super Besse,...) and many cross country skiing trails.
